What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive eating is a philosophy that rejects traditional dieting, calls for tuning into your own hunger and fullness cues, and allows you to choose what, how much, and when to eat by healing your relationship with food. This non-diet approach to health and nutrition was created by two registered dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, in 1995. They came to the realization that chronic dieting doesn’t work, and that if we listen to our bodies, they will tell us what we need.

This course is for anyone who:

  • Is sick of constantly dieting and restricting their food intake in the name of “health”.

  • Is tired of battling their own body by ignoring hunger and fullness cues.

  • Feels stuck in the cycle of eating very little only to be followed by binge episodes (feeling out of control while consuming large quantities of food).
